How long does the backup take?

This depends primarily on the amount of the data you have selected to backup and the speed of your Internet connection. Backup.com.au is committed to maximizing your office efficiency so we have included the following features to speed up the backup process;

• We only backup files which have changed since the last backup;
• Of the files that have changed, only the portion which has changed is backed-up;
• We compress the data before transferring it to our file server.

To give an example, your 500MB Outlook file (huge!) may only change by 3MB (tiny!) each day. Once compressed even further, you have an easily manageable amount of data to transfer.

All of these features combined mean it’s possible to backup a very large amount of data over a very slow internet connection (even dialup) with ease and speed.
